Well November started off well but has just got much much better, enquiries and work is pouring in consistently its nice to see. Long may it continue.

Well we must be doing something right, enquiries have increased over the last couple of months and although other areas of the business are quiet, surveying projects have more than taken up any slack. Not sure how others are finding things, but its nice to see a bit more consistency than for as long as I can remember.

We have recently carried out Measured Surveys for  NHS Trusts and National Charities on some quite unusual sites around the UK. Its nice to get working on some more unique types of buildings for a change, instead of the run of the mill stuff that we all are used too.

Keeping Busy! 06/03/2011
 
Enquiries have pouring in all month and we are winning a significant amount of business for some Blue Chip clients and private customers alike.

Its pleasing to see such a diverse range of enquiries and it seems like things are generally picking up all over.

Recent reports say that the Small to Medium-sized Enterprise construction sector is to set to begin a fourth year of falling workloads and a third of companies are expecting to cut their staffing levels this year, according to the latest State of Trade Survey  from the FMB, the largest trade association in the UK construction industry.

Work picking up 05/02/2011
 
Early January started off OK and then enquiries dropped off quite a bit but towards the end of the month and early February it is pleasing to see that they have steadily picked up again and business is increasing. How is everyone else find things, is your workload picking up, enquiries slowly increasing again? let us know!

Building Surveyors working in the UK construction industry regard location to be more important than the chance of a promotion when taking a new job.In a survey of 5,724 professionals currently occupying jobs in construction, it was those employed in Building Surveying who are far and away most concerned with where their job is based.When asked what the main reason was for joining their current employer, 14.81% of Building Surveyors stated location, which is an interesting statistic given that only 12.35% joined for the higher salary.The survey elicited responses from over 20 different jobs types, from cad jobs to quantity surveying jobs, who 5.45% and 5.41% prioritised location respectively.

Well the work continues to keep rolling in and recently we were asked to carry out some measured surveys in Ukraine, Eastern Europe. This proved to be very successful and the client was very pleased with the results, so much so that we are quoting for more work over there in the near future.

So although we traditionally cover the whole of the UK, we are now receiving enquiries from much farther afield.
